Funny side note. Apparently for the 04' Olympics all the stray dogs were caught, vaccinated, fixed, etc. then when the Olympics were over they were rereleased with collars on so they wouldn't seem as much like strays.

Stray dogs
So there are a ton of stray dogs in Athens and they just roam around as they please. Here are 2 dogs lounging on a roped off section of the Acropolis.
